An ode to my late mother,

Soni, a 49-year-old warrior, battled with cancer

for 8 long years. 
This span transitioned her from a homemaker into a relentless working woman.
Her wisdom echoed,

"Always keep your mind busy so that it doesn't devour you!"

She never stopped. She never gave up.
Her resilience was an inspiration to many,

especially her daughter.
Unyielding, unbroken.
The smile never left her face.
Soni embodied determination, hard work and kindness like no other in my life.

 

This is her daughter, carrying her legacy and her unrelenting will, with Namson.
She empowers me even today,

in echoes of her absence.

I stand here today because of her.
